Goin' Cannonballs Demo Description
The Goin' Cannonballs Demo build focuses around increasing 8-Bit Demo's ability to do damage with Cannon based Explosive Launchers at a relatively low material cost. It is an exceptional build for Encampments or any other mission that you're not inside or shooting into a trap tunnel (As it will light up propane tanks to explode). Utilizing your abilities will decrease the durability cost of your launchers significantly, making this build far more viable for any player to use. You can use this build liberally or situationally, depending on your play style and how many materials you have laying around.
You have 6 shots before you must use another ability to gain the perk advantage, which is easy to do when you cycle through your abilities normally and shoot between. You can use D.E.C.O.Y. to herd husks together for easier explosive damage, to protect yourself or keep husks away from objectives. Bull Rush is great for escaping sticky situations, crowd control, keeping you protected from Mist Monsters & providing situational damage.
The cooldown reduction on Bull Rush reduces the recharge time from 15 seconds to 11 seconds. 27% reduction in cooldown translates to a 4 second reduction. Goin' Coconuts will increase your damage when the coconuts are consumed and provide a healing regeneration factor. Really accentuating the amazing damage potential of this build and giving it a defensive perk that it was previously lacking.
If you want to be a bit more tankier, you can remove Catstructor Penny and trade her out for one or more of the following heroes/perks. Survivalist Jonesy/Survivalist will regenerate health over 3 seconds on kill, which is very beneficial to keeping you alive. Chromium Ramirez/In a Pinch can help keep your shields up & healthy while you're launching and reloading. Last but not least BombSquad Kyle/Bomb Suit increases your armor by 22, which is a base 18% damage reduction by itself. They continue to add more and more options to the game and this list should grow over time.
The weapon selection for this build is pretty simple. Use cannons. As of the time of this writing, there are only three explosive weapons in the game that are classified as cannons. The Bowler, Cannonade & The Jabborwocky. All three function very differently in the game but all provide a pretty large damage output when used with this build.
