Totally Slashin' Kyle Description
This is our attempt at putting together a summer camp slasher themed version of the Kyle character in Fortnite Save the World. This hero loadout is made to go with the Bladey Acres questline available in Fortnitemares 3.0. Complete with hockey mask and machete.
We start the build off with the Fortnitemares version of Kyle, aptly named Kyle the 13th. Any good slasher from a slasher film has a few factors going for them in their favor. They seem to be unkillable. No matter how slow they walk, they always catch up to you. And they never stop hacking & slashing.
To fit in with this spirit we decided to go with Blast From the Past as our team perk. It serves three main purposes for our build.
- To increase our health points and make us tankier.
- To give us damage resistance and make us tankier.
- To add more damage to each slash and give us a little more offense.
The team perk Blast from the Past serves to double our health. Paleo Luna gives us some extra bite, in the form of more damage per melee attack. Prehistoric Izza gives us 33% damage resistance when we have no shield up. Which is permanently since we have no shields due to the team perk.
As Dennis so succinctly put it, "The blade wants what the blade wants." In our case the Shortblade wants more Critical Hit Chance to go with it's Critical Damage perk. To get it we go with Whiteout Fiona.
Lots of iconic movie slashers can regenerate and our Kyle is no exception. Survivalist Jonesy gives him a slight regeneration factor when husks are eliminated to help keep us going.
The Shortblade already has an incredibly quick attack speed standard. Varsity Hiro allows us to further increase it when husks fumble footballs. Only 7% drop rate for one hero isn't great but multiply that by four heroes in one full group as we did and it's not so bad.
There is no other weapon for a hockey masked slasher Kyle than the Shortblade machete. It's as classic as they get. In our case we went with a Crit based build. 4.1 attack speed is already really nice. Supplement that with some critical hit chance & critical damage and you have a recipe for hack & slash magic.
Whiteout Fiona grants us 15 Critical Rating on top of the 10% base Critical Hit Chance on the Shortblade. Giving us a total of 27% Critical Hit Chance. Attack speed and damage can be further increased by picking up any footballs you see laying on the ground.
Happy Slashing! Remember, husks only.
