BOOM B.A.S.E. Warden Description

This loadout is here purely to make the rest of the team better. It is great for team based scenarios where you have the option of adding defenders and friends to fill out the roster with Commanders that are setup for DPS roles. Like in a four-man mission. There are several benefits to adding this type of loadout as a teammate to your matches. From the Commander perk, to support perks, to even the weapon choice.

First is the obvious, your B.A.S.E. is going to regenerate 11.25 base health to anybody standing on a tile connected to the B.A.S.E. Transforming your B.A.S.E. with BOOM B.A.S.E. gives all allies within 5 tiles an extra 12% damage and 15 Critical Rating. The range on that is huge and it adds up per person it effects. With yourself and up to 7 other allies being affected, that's a lot of extra damage output being supplied to the group. We're not done yet with the buffs.

Jolly Headhunter and Varsity Hiro are also going to provide temporary buffs that will be littered all over the battlefield for anybody to pick up. Rockin' Riff is extremely beneficial and versatile. It will help anybody who picks it up. Same as Headhunter's present buffs that will be all over the ground. They are a little more random though. You might get extra Movement Speed, Energy or a Damage boost. There is one downside to adding both of these heroes to your loadout. Those buffs won't appear on the battlefield without killing husks yourself. Gadgets count, like the Stationary Hover Turret but defenders won't. We will discuss tactics on how to get more kills in the weapon description.

Last but not least in this loadout is the weapon choice. The Earsplitter is the only weapon in the game currently that can offer a temporary buff to you and your teammates and that's what we're going to focus on here. In most 4-man groups you have the option of adding defenders to your mission. This is a great time to add them all to one central location for buffing purposes. Your teammates can also stand nearby for additional boosts. Once you are setup near the defenders and the mission is going, you're going to want to use the Earsplitter heavy attack to stack the four times damage buff on any and everyone nearby.

There is no obvious best hero for the last slot. Maybe we will see a new hero in the future that's right for this setup. For now, we grab Power Base Knox to add regeneration to your B.A.S.E. structures. He's a valuable option to help your structures stay up while you're increasing the teams damage output. Heavy BASE is a good offensive option but you could go with anyone. The Banner will also help keep structure health high in a pinch and will serve as a respawn point for any downed teammates in your mission.

Weapon Description

As we stated above, at the time of this writing, the Earsplitter is currently the only weapon in the game that can buff you and your teammates. This is amazing and gives us something different to try out in team based loadouts. It is based off of the heavy attack and the buff can stack up to four times. You will want to get as many allies as possible as close as possible and begin using the heavy attack until the buff starts to stack. Then you reapply as needed. It is amazing for your defenders.

The Earsplitter is not just a weapon that can buff people. It is very effective at clearing waves of lesser health husks, too. It also has great impact on it. Which works amazingly well in concert with the 6th perk we chose on it. As husks will get knocked back for walking up and will begin dancing after being knocked back, unable to hurt you. Then they will take extra damage while dancing. The 80 Armor will give you 44% damage resistance, while your B.A.S.E. regenerates your health, for anything that does actually damage you like bees or Laser Husks.

This makes it amazing in choke points for keeping husks out. You could easily create a choke point anywhere near your allies and nestle yourself safely inside, to both buff teammates and provide a stalwart defensive fortification that no one will have to worry about defending in regular missions. You will become a mini-human Kyle-sized storm shield.
