Over the years Hakkorhn Smashlord had gradually faded to obscurity or as a Champion only picked if no other options were available for the challenge at hand. With Patch 8.42.0 much of this changed and efforts were made to improve Hakkorhn's usability across the game.
As one of the many "old" HP Legendary Champions who actually had far above average HP stat, Hakkorhn's durability is of no real concern to anyone, but for the longest time his contribution to a team paled in response to RAID's ever-growing power level. A2 "Rallying Bellow" is an ever-useful full cleanse & [Block Debuffs] along with a heal scaling off Hakkorhn's generally high HP stat but on a 4-turn cooldown it often took one turn too long to be available again. With Patch 8.42.0 this is duly reduced to a 3-turn cooldown, making Hakkorhn work well as a cleanser and healer both in one, especially with low max HP allies where 25% of Hakkorhn's HP may very well be their entire HP stat!
A3 "Blood Offering" was arguably one of the worst Active skills in all of RAID - spending HP to attack all enemies with a hit that can't even be critical and provided no additional utility found itself only being used if Hakkorhn was under no threat at all and it just about provided more damage than simply using the A1 "Inhuman Force" - a basic skill with a moderate chance to [Stun] on a Champion who otherwise felt no need build Accuracy as a stat. Now, "Blood Offering" not only do longer costs some of Hakkorhn's current HP but is able to perform Critical hits. Assuming that Blood Offering keeps the 0.5x HP ratio, this can end up doing a surprisingly high amount of damage if Hakkorhn is able to get his HP stat in excess of 100K! Not only that but it now places a [Shield] on all allies, further cementing Hakkorhn's position as a solid Champion to keep your team alive who can also unleash a powerful attack if enraged!
Overall you will find yourself using Hakkorhn more as a healer than a damage dealer since A3 "Blood Offering" is on a 4-turn cooldown and his A2 "Rallying Bellow" is a non-attacking move, but alongside building as high HP and Speed as you can manage so he performs his primarity duties as well, Critical and Crit DMG are now stats that can put in some respectable work!
With 8.42.0 Hakkorhn may just find his way out of the Vault and back into semi-regular gameplay for yourself!
