Pythion enters the game as possibly the best fusion of all-time right from day one. Duchess has long been at the top of the game due to her passive ability. Before now, it has never been rivaled. Enter Pythion, who may have the best passive yet in the game. His passive ability grants 5% damage mitigation for every buff on your champions, up to 25% damage mitigation with 5+ total buffs.

If that weren't good enough already he has abilities, too. His first noteworthy ability is a resurrection that will revive your dead champions and apply a Strengthen buff to the team. Unlike some other revive abilities with buffs, this one won't activate (Read: get wasted by the AI) unless someone is dead. Which is very nice. Especially for the Lizardmen faction crypt.

If that is all he had, it would be enough to make him a very formidable opponent but they didn't stop there. He also has a cleanse on his A2 and a heal. It could have been better had it been based on his own MAX HP but it's still good. You get a cleanse, heal and a Block Debuffs buff. The healing increases the more debuffs that are removed. His A1 also heals based on his MAX HP. Which is nice.

Pythion is amazing for just about any and every area of the game. You will get great use out of his array of abilities but his bread and butter really is his passive ability. It's very unique and extremely powerful. In the Arena, in PVE content, he is strong everywhere.
