Hegemon is a very unique champion who started off extremely powerful in the arena and still is in many ways but has fallen off slightly over the passage of time. His passive ability gives you the unique opportunity to go first in a fight unless the other team also has a Hegemon, in which case the fastest one will go first.

His kit is mainly crowd control based so this allows you to do some interesting things in the arena with his A1 and A2. His A2 hits pretty hard and can outright kill non-tanky offensive teams. It has the unique ability of granting a block active skills debuff as well as the big version of decrease attack. Very handy.

His A1 is equally as powerful it not more so allowing you to target a specific champion, like Arbiter for instance, then using the Evil Eye mastery reduce their Turn Meter as well as attempt to land the big version of decrease speed. Couple this with a CC set like Stun, Provoke or Daze and you can really wreck some havoc by locking out some enemy teams.

He is a great ban option in live arena against go-first teams. Overall he has lost a little bit of usage over time but can still be game changing for many lower to mid accounts. He can easily build up your Great Hall Affinity Bonuses while progressing through the arena tiers and can still be useful in platinum arena for some fights.
