Minaya is involved in what may be one of the most questionable romances in the RAID: Shadow Legends setting, and until recently she was questionable in other ways, notably places in the game she was considered valuable for. In the Update 8.40 that took place on the 4th of April, this was changed and now it's possibly more than some great big angry deer monster that may smile at the sight of her!
Updated to now function better as a standalone healer, the updated A2 "Mending Ways" now heals by 30% of Minaya's max HP, meaning she can now heal for far upwards of 30,000 on herself and an ally instead of the flat 10,000 she was limited to before. Additionally, she now places [Leech] as well as the previous [Heal Reduction] on all enemies, although the attack itself is single-target so you do not need to worry about failing to place debuffs on Spirit affinity enemies due to Weak hits. If the Beast to the Beauty is present, Minaya can be built with zero Accuracy and will always land these debuffs, otherwise she will need Accuracy for this. The addition of [Leech] debuffs indirectly means Minaya provides even more healing as your Champions will damage enemies. Even a simple tick of the Warmaster Mastery should be able to heal your Champions for numbers in the five digits.
Her A3 "Beauty's Allure" has also been updated to remove one of the stranger "if X then Y" conditions in her kit - previously requiring Minaya to be under [Increase Defence] which either had to be supplied by a completely unrelated teammate or by Khoronar's "Spectacle" Passive which only did anything if Khoronar killed an enemy. Now it's a heal scaling off each ally's max HP (instead of Minaya's max HP) as well as [Block Debuffs] and a further [Shield] to keep them healthy if the initial heal did the trick. This brings Minaya much more in the standard of other Legendary healer supports! Note that while this places [Block Debuffs] it doesn't cleanse existing debuffs on your Champions, but means Minaya pairs up well with someone who cleanses debuffs yet struggles to keep the HP bars of Champions above 0 or otherwise have ways to stop your enemies simply throwing more debuffs at you.
Minaya has above average Speed and durability stats compared to most Legendary Supports, but the 8.40 Update also adds more to the "Lover's Sacrifice" Passive for if she has a particularly bad experience with an angry tin soldier. Now healing all allies based on her max HP in addition to boosting their Turn Meters, she can have a "second life" if Khoronar was around to see her fall the first time, back at a respectable HP level to continue fighting the good fight. Even if Minaya becomes under [Block Revive] or otherwise has her revive denied by Lydia the Deathsiren, she will still provide the heal and Turn Meter boost.
Already for those who had acquired Khoronar and didn't want him to be lonely, Minaya is available via the Token Trader at the Guardian Ring by dismantling five unwanted duplicate Legendaries for 2,500 Life Tokens. Definitely in a much better state than she was before, it'd serve you well to put some strong gear that improves her Speed, HP firstmost, and then whatever Accuracy, Resistance or Defence you may or may not need depending on where you plan on using her.
