Defender Post

Interact to select and deploy a Defender.

One of my favorite additions to the game. Defender Posts allow you to summon any of your available defenders into your missions to help you defend against the onslaught of storm horde that you will have to face. Defenders come in five styles. Melee, Pistol, Shotgun, Assault Rifle and Sniper Defenders. Each can use any respective weapon associated with it that pertains to it's type.

There are some very unique weapons in the game that are available for them to use. Especially when it comes to the Sniper class. The Neon Sniper Rifle and the Obliterator can both shoot through walls for example. All guns are capped by a Defender's Weapon Skill. They can use any weapon but it will be scaled down to the appropriate weapon skill level, should the weapon's level exceed it. This is increased by increasing a Defender's level.

Defender Posts, along with the respective defender summoned from it, will be removed from the game when the tile it is placed on becomes broken. Defenders can also get defeated like anyone else and may need a revive during missions. Defenders consume 33% less weapon durability and ammo cost when using a weapon that uses ammo.
